Raskolnikov's first dream. Symbolically, kind of. That scene was too scary for depicting it as it was described.
Interesting that in english translation of the novel the horse is described as "a small, skinny, grayish". While in the original text it was stated that the horse was "савраска" [savkaska]. I couldn't find anything in english about this equine coat colour, but it is close to Przewalski's horse. The coat is kind of dun in color with pangare features. .
Первый Сон Раскольникова. Символически. Потому что та сцена была слишком жуткой, чтобы рисовать "слово в слово". Лошадь савраска, по окрасу похожа на Лошадь Пржевальского. Забавно, что в английском переводе романа, она описана как просто "сероватая". А должна быть скорее бежевой. . . .
